Cabernet Burgers image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 bottle Cabernet Sauvignon
1/4 cup minced shallots
9 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoon golden brown sugar
1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary
1.5 pounds ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup extra-sharp white cheddar cheese
2 tablespoon vegetable oil

Steps:

  • 1. Boil wine and shallots in med saucepan until reduced to 3/4 cup, about 20 min. Add 1 T butter and brown sugar; whisk until buter melts and sugar dissolves. Remove from heat. Mix remaingin 8 T butter and rosemary in small bowl. Set aside.
  • 2. Mix beef, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup wine-shallot mixture in bowl. Form meet into four rounds. Cook burgers while brushing with wine shallot mixture. Sprinkle w/ cheese after last turn and cook until cheese melts.
  • 3. Spread bread with rosemary butter and top w/ desired condiments.
