Cabbage Casserole image

I like cabbage about any way, but it is the very best way to cook it this way. Very simple but very good.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 large head of cabbage
1/2 lb cheddar cheese, shredded
3/4 stick margarine
1 can(s) cream of chicken soup
1 medium onion,chopped
1 box cornbread mix prepared,cooked,crumbled

Steps:

  • 1. Cook cornbread and set aside. Cut cabbage in bite size pieces, boil in salty water,for 5 minutes. While cooking cabbage, chop onion. Drain cabbage. Mix onion, soup and cheese over cabbage while still hot. Place in buttered baking dish. Pour melted margarine over cornbread crumbs and spread over cabbage. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
