Cabbage Casserole image

Great side with great blend of flavors. I love that it's a fairly low cost side as well. Great for families on a budget, but worthy of feeding to company.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 small cabbage head, coarsley chopped
1 1/2 c shredded carrots
4 slice bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
1 can(s) cheddar cheese soup
1/3 c milk
1/4 tsp salt
1 can(s) (3 oz) french fried onions

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. In large bowl, combine cabbage, bacon and carrots. In another large bowl, combine soup, milk and salt. Stir until smooth and pour over cabbage mixture. Mix well.
  • 2. Spoon mixture into 2 quart casserole and cover with foil. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Remove foil and top with French fried onions. Bake uncovered 5-10 minutes.
