Buttermilk Wheat Bread image

The buttermilk gives this bread a wonderfully unique taste and a pretty golden crust.

Yield 1 loaf (2 pounds).

Number Of Ingredients 7

1-1/4 cups buttermilk
1-1/2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
1/3 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Steps:

  • In bread machine pan, place all ingredients in order given. Select "white bread" setting. Bake according to bread machine directions.
