I found this recipe in my box and had to share it. A friend in high school's dad used to make this for us for breakfast all the time! It is best served warm! Try with ice cream for a fruity dessert! Peach buckle is my favorite! :-)

Steps:
- Mix fruit with 1/2 cup of sugar. Set aside.
- Cream together remaining sugar, eggs, shortening, and milk.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add to egg mixture gradually. Stir in fruit/sugar mix.
- Bake in greased 9x13 pan at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
