Yield 1 gallon

Number Of Ingredients 13

Stew
In a 2 gallon pot, over low heat melt 1/2 stick of butter then add:
3 cups small diced potatoes
1 1/2 cup small diced onion
32 oz. of chicken broth
1.5 lb baked or smoked chicken (white and dark)
2 lb smoked pork
Bring to a boil, stirring until potatoes are near done, then add:
15 oz. can early peas
32 oz. can stewed tomatoes - (squeeze tomatoes and add liquid from can)
The sauce (above)
16 oz. can of baby lima beans
15 oz. can creamed corn

Steps:

  • Slow simmer for 2 hours
