Number Of Ingredients 4

2 pound(s) salmon, steaks
1 tablespoon(s) butt rub, your favorite brand or blend
2-3 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
4 slice(s) bacon, (i used a maple smoked)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line baking sheet with tin foil. Spray with Pam.
  • Place the steaks on baking sheet evenly spaced. I used tails, they just looked tastier. But I'm new to salmon so you tell me!
  • Mix the butt rub and brown sugar and rub onto salmon. Use as much or as little as you like. I used about a tbsp per steak, two large tail sections.
  • Lay bacon over steaks, I used 2 per section but if you are using steaks 1 would probably work per steak.
  • Let sit for about 20 minutes while you prep something else or oven finishes preheating.
  • Bake for about 10 minutes and then check to see how bacon is coming along. I finished off under the broiler but not too close for a few minutes to brown the bacon. 10 -15 minutes total cook time depending on your oven and size of fillets.
