BRIE SOUFFLE image

Number Of Ingredients 8

3 T butter
3 slices white bread
3/4 C milk
2 eggs
salt and pepper to taste
tobasco sauce to taste
1/2 lb grated brie cheese
about 1 1/2 cups

Steps:

  • with 1/2 T butter, grease 1 quart dish and butter one side of each slice of bread wiht remaining butter. Cut bread into thirds. Whisk remaining ingredients, except cheese. Arrange 1/2 the bread, butter side up on dish bottom. Sprinkle with half the brie and top with the rest of the bread then the brie. Pour egg mixture over and let stand 30 minutes. Bake 30-35 minutes till golden brown and bubbly.
