BRANDY PEAR SORBET image

Number Of Ingredients 12

ORIGINAL RECIPE:
¾ cup apple juice or white grape juice
½ cup sugar
5 fresh California Bartlett pears - ureed
½ cup apple juice or white grape juice
3 T brandy (
MY MODIFIED RECIPE:
¾ cup pear juice from canned pears (in own juice)
½ cup sugar
2 small cans (14 oz each?) or 1 large can or pears in own juice
½ cup juice from canned pears
3 T brandy (I used plain brandy but next time will use pear brandy)

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, heat ¾ cup juice and sugar until sugar dissolves. Cool. In large bowl, combine pear puree, ½ c juice and the brandy. Stir fruit mixture into sugar mixture. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer's direction
