BORDELAISE SAUCE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 T butter
2 T finely chopped onion
¾ C dry red wine
1 & ½ C beef gravy (12 oz jar Heinz Brown gravy)
1 T lemon juice (from a lemon!)
2 T minced parsley
¾ C sliced mushrooms

Steps:

  • In separate butter (not the 2T listed above) sauté mushrooms & drain Melt butter & cook onions until transparent Add wine & simmer till reduced by half Add gravy, lemon, parsley, mushrooms & Salt & pepper. Heat through Can be prepared ahead of time
