1 can (15.5 oz.) black beans, rinsed
1 cup cooked long-grain brown rice, cooled
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
2 Tbsp. KRAFT Garlic Aioli
1 egg white
1 tsp. oil
4 slices KRAFT Cheddar & Muenster Cheese Expertly Paired for Grilling
4 multi-grain hamburger buns
1 plum tomato, cut into 8 slices
1/4 cup SIMPLY HEINZ Ketchup

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Cover rimmed baking sheet with foil; spray with cooking spray. Spread beans onto prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake 10 min. or until beans are split and partially dried. (Do not bake until crunchy.) Cool slightly.
  • Place beans in large bowl; mash well. Add rice, onions, aioli and egg white; mix well. Shape into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) patties.
  • Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add bean patties; cook 4 min. on each side or until heated through and evenly browned on both sides. Top with cheese; cook 1 min. or until melted.
  • Place burgers on bottom halves of buns; top with tomatoes and ketchup. Cover with tops of buns.
