Biscuits and Gravy Recipe image

1-3/4 cups flour
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup milk
1 lb. breakfast pork sausage
1 jar (12 oz.) HEINZ HomeStyle Sausage Gravy

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 450°F.
  • Mix flour, baking powder and salt in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add milk; stir with fork until mixture forms soft dough.
  • Knead on lightly floured surface 20 times or until smooth. Roll out dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut into circles with floured 3-inch biscuit cutter, rerolling dough scraps as necessary. Place on baking sheet.
  • Bake 10 to 12 min. or until golden brown. Meanwhile, crumble sausage into large skillet. Cook on medium-high heat 5 to 7 min. or until done. Heat gravy in small saucepan until heated through.
  • Cut biscuits in half horizontally. Spoon sausage onto bottoms of biscuits; cover with gravy. Top with remaining biscuit halves.
