We LOVE Asian style cooking in my House....I love preparing, and my family loves eating!!! This recipe with the fresh "pounded" round steak & the Broccoli florets is absolutely delicious!! making your own sauce is a simple and TASTY process...and oh soooo worth it.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 1/2 pound(s) round steak (pounded slightly)
1/2 cup(s) diced onion
1 clove(s) minced garlic
1 1/2 cup(s) beef broth
2 tablespoon(s) cornstarch
1 1/2 tablespoon(s) brown sugar
2 tablespoon(s) dark soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon(s) ground ginger
5 cup(s) fresh broccoli florets
4 cup(s) cooked white rice
1/2 cup(s) whole cashews

Steps:

  • Place your Round Steak between saran wrap and pound down slightly. Remove wrap and slice into uniform thin strips, coat your Wok with a little peanut oil and heat over medium high heat for 1 minute. Add your sliced beef, onion and minced garlic stir fry until brown, remove the Beef mixture to a plate and keep warm.
  • Add 3/4 cup of Beef Broth & your Broccoli to your Wok stir fry until tender and crisp. Mix your cornstarch, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger and soy sauce with remaining beef broth until smooth; add to Wok and stir fry until mixture begins to thicken, stirring constantly. Return Beef to Wok add cashews stir well and plate with pressed "Rice Balls"
