BEST RIBS YOU'LL EVER EAT image

Number Of Ingredients 14

1/2 cup water
1/2 cup plus 2 Tb. brown sugar
1/2 cup mustard
1/4 cup sweet smoked paprika
1/4 cup chili powder
2 Tb salt
2 Tb peach flavored gelatin powder
1 Tb worcestershire sauce
1 cup apple juice
1/2 cup honey
1 stick butter(4 oz)
1/2 cup store BBQ sauce
1/4 cup apricot preserves
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Spread first 8 ingredients over four 1 1/2 pound baby back ribs and grill over indirect heat for 2 1/2 hours. Meanwhile, in a medium sauce pan, combine apple juice, honey and butter and cook until butter is melted. Cut eight 12 inch sheets of foil and pour 1/4 of butter mixture in the center of each sheet. Then top with a rib rack-meaty side down. Fold and wrap with another sheet of foil. Grill the packets for 1 hour. Unwrap and grill, meaty side up for 30 minutes. Next, stir together BBQ sauce, preserves, and water; brush ribs with the glaze and grill, meaty side up, until tender, 20 minutes longer. Transfer to cutting board, slice and brush with the remaining apricot glaze
