Best-Ever Hot Cocoa Mix image

A creamy, rich and big-on-chocolate flavor cocoa mix. Using confectioner's sugar in this recipe allows for dissolving quickly as well as thickening the cocoa. This is a Cook's Country recipe that I received in my email at work the other day.

Number Of Ingredients 5

3 cup(s) milk, nonfat, dry
2 cup(s) confectioners' sugar
1 1/2 cup(s) dutch-processed cocoa powder
1 1/2 cup(s) vanilla or white chocolate chips
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Working in two batches, pulse ingredients in food processor until chocolate chips are finely ground. Store in airtight container for up to 3 months.
  • To make hot cocoa: Stir 1/3 cup of mix into 1 cup of hot milk. Top with whipped cream or miniature marshmallows.
