I have made this recipe for over 20 years and still is my comfort fav. for Thanksgiving.

Steps:
- (PRE-HEAT OVEN @450) Mix first 6 ingredients til moistened, pour into greased 9x13 baking pan. BAKE for 20-25 minutes. LET SET OVER NIGHT COVERED LIGHTLY W/ TEA TOWEL.
- (NEXT DAY) saute veggies in 2 tbsp butter til soft add seasonings & salt & pepper to taste.
- remove veggies from pan & set aside Brown sausage til done, add veggies.
- crumble corn bread til sum med. chunks are left and fine crumbles.
- WITH HANDS fold in meat & veggie mix
- add enough Chicken Broth to moisten, but not soggy.
- Grease 9x13 pan & put in dressing. Drizzle remaining 2 tbsp melted butter
- Bake @ 350 til crumbs are golden brown. Serve w/ Turkey, Pork, or Chicken
- Can be made vegetarian style w/ meatless adaptions
