Best Chili Ever image

Number Of Ingredients 14

3 pounds Ground Chuck or any beef
1/4 cup vegetable or olive
1 quart Water
1 teaspoon Salt
10 cloves Garlic (chopped)
2.5 ounces Chili Power
1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
1 teaspoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Cayene
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons Flour
6 teaspoons Masa (Fine Ground Corn Meal)
1 tablespoon Sugar
3 tablespoons Paprika

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, saute meat in oil until Browned. Add water and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours
  • In a small bowl, mix Chili power, salt, cumin, oregano, Cayene Pepper, Black Pepper, Sugar and Paprika. Set aside
  • Add to Meat after the time in step one, simmer for an additional 30 minutes (cooking longer will cause spices to lose flavor)
  • In a small bowl mix flour and masa. WisK flour and masa mixture into chili, stirring constantly to prevent sticking
  • Bring mixture back to a simmer until thickened. (About 15 minutes) Remove from Heat
  • Serve over beans, rice, hot dogs, enchiladas, burritos or eat plain
  • I add diced tomatoes and beans to a frozen 1 pound pack and serve with grilled cheese
