- This is made with kataifi pastry in the same way as the recipe for Kataifi with a Cream Filling (see page 324). Instead of the cream filling, use 1 pound or 3 1/2 cups whole pistachios or chopped walnuts mixed with a few tablespoons of the sugar syrup to bind them together. Serve this pastry cold.
