Four small potatoes, garlic clove and half of a beef kielbasa! This was enough to feed four people until full. Total cost, .34 cents a person! An optional ingredient could be lime and that would cut the grease in this dish. I enjoyed photographing the potatoes as they turned GBD, and notice how the sugars in the kielbasa turned...

Number Of Ingredients 8

4 potatoes, diced for fast cooking
1/2 lb beef kielbasa, cut into 1/3" coins
1 clove garlic
2 Tbsp crisco oil
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS:
pinch salt, for low salt diets leave this out
1 lime cut in half, squeeze half on hash
3/4 lb beef chorizo, fried separately then mixed it in with potatoes

Steps:

  • 1. Peel and dice potatoes. Cut kielbasa into coins. and crush garlic, don't cut put in mainly whole.
  • 2. Heat up cast iron skillet on med.hi add two tablespoons of Crisco oil. add potatoes into middle of pan and pat down into a layer. Add coins around the sides. Put turned over saute pan over the potatoes for 4 minutes.
  • 3. Take pan off and continue cooking potatoes as you mix coins into the potatoes. Once potatoes are as brown as you would like them remove pan from heat and plate.
