Steps:
- Heat 2 T oil in large skillet and lightly saute the onion rings. Add 1 T soy sauce, the sugar and 1 t sherry; continue to heat a moment or two. Remove from pan. In shallow bowl, mix 2 t cornstarch, 1 T soy sauce and 1 t sherry. Heat 2 T oil in pan over medium heat. Dredge the beef slices in the cornstarch mixture before adding them to the pan. Saute beef. Add onions to the beef. Heat thoroughly and serve alongside rice.
