BBQ BACON CHEESEBURGER RIGATONI image

2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 c minced onion
2 garlic cloves
1 lb extra lean ground beef
1 red pepper finely diced
1 green pepper finely diced
1 tbsp montreal steak spice
1 c. tomato sauce
1/2 c. bbq sauce
1 tbsp red wine vinegar
1/2 pkg rigatoni
1/2 c. shredded dbl smoke cheddar
3 slices bacon cooked crisp and crumbled
1 tomato diced

Steps:

  • In a large skillet heat oil over med high heat. Add onion and garlic and saute until translucent. Add ground beef; cook and stir until crumbled and no longer pink. Add both peppers and steak seasoning. Cook and stir 5 min or until peppers soften. Stir in tomato sauce, bbq sauce and vinegar. reduce heat and let simmer 10 min stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook pasta al dente. Drain and add to skillet mixing well to coat pasta with sauce. Spoon pasta into soup bowls or plates. Sprinkle with double smoked cheddar, crumbled bacon and diced tomato.
