Steps:
- CRUST: Cream margarine w/ 1/3 cup sugar & 1 tsp vanilla. Blend in flour. Press dough into bottom and up sides of spring form pan. FILLING: Combine softened cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar - mix well. Add eggs & vanilla. Mix - Pour into crust lined pan. Toss appples w/ 1/3 cup sugar & cinnamon - Layer on top of cream cheese filling. Spinkle w/ nuts, or use streusel topping. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, Top w/ Streusel Topping, then turn down oven to 375 degrees and bake another 30 - 40 minutes. Let cool in pan, remove pan - refridgerate. Before serving drizzle with icing - I put the icing in a ziplock bag, cut off a corner & sqeeze onto top of torte
