BAKED ROTINI CASSEROLE image

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 lb ground chicken or turkey
8oz rotini or rotelli
1 medium onion, chopped
1-2 cloves garlic, chopped
1 small green pepper, chopped
1 can whole Italian tomatoes, cut up and undrained (29oz)
1 can tomato paste (6 oz)
5 mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 2. Prepare pasta according to directions on package. 3. Saute onions, green pepper and garlic until tender. 4. Add ground meat and cook until brown. 5. Stir in next 8 ingredients (from tomatoes to red pepper) and bring to boil. 6. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. 7. Drain pasta and mix into meat sauce. Pour mixture into casserole and top with shredded mozzarella. 8. Bake until hot, roughly 20-30 minutes.
