Steps:
- Place sliced onions in a heated saute pan with olive oil and saute until a deep golden brown color has been achieved. Add minced garlic and dry thyme and cook for 2 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste and place in either a cast iron skillet or a 1 qt dish and crumble goat cheese on top. NOTE: if adding crab or figs- fold into the goat cheese mixture before baking. Bake for 15-20 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with baguettes and pears.
