Number Of Ingredients 8

2 - 28 ounce(s) cans bushes original baked beans
1 medium onion, diced
1 pound(s) bacon, cooked and crumbled
1/2 - 3/4 cup(s) brown sugar
1 - 1 1/2 tablespoon(s) mustard
3/4 - 1 cup(s) ketchup
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper
dash - cayenne ( optional )

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degree F.
  • In a roaster or casserole dish, mix all ingredients well. Place in oven, I leave uncovered to get a nice coloring. The longer they cook the thicker they get. Stir occasionally, especially after they start bubbling, so as not to stick. Bake until desired thickness occurs. I usually cook mine for at least 1 hour and 30 min.
  • These beans are so simple, yet so good.
