AUNT VICKIE'S STRAWBERRY PIE image

Yield 2 Pies

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 baked pie shells
2 1/2 qts. fresh strawberries
1 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
2 cups boiling water
2 pkg, (4 serving) Strawberry Jello

Steps:

  • Mix sugar and corn starch. Boil water and remove from heat. Add sugar/cornstarch mixture a little at a time while stirring to prevent clumping. Cook over medium heat until mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat, add jello a little at a time, stirring until smooth. Let cool to room temperature. While mixture cools, wash and slice strawberries. Place sliced strawberries in baked pie shells. Divide cooled gel mixture in half and pour over each pie. Refrigerate until set. Serve with cool whip if desired.
