- Set aside.
- Melt butter.
- Cook onion until tender but do not brown.

- Spoon evenly into pastry shell.
- Arrange asparagus tips decoratively around quiche.
- Beat eggs with yolks.
- Add milk, salt, pepper, nutmeg and cayenne.
