- Preheat oven to 375 F. To prepare the crust, mix the first 5 ingredients in a medium bowl; cut in the softened butter until crumbly. Press dough firmly and evenly against the bottom and sides of an ungreased 10-inch fluted tart pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crust is golden brown. Set aside. To prepare the filling, cut Asian pears in half and core, then cut each half into 6 wedges. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add pears and sauto for 20-25 minutes, or until nearly tender. Add brown sugar and cinnamon; saute for another 5 minutes or so, until pears are tender. Place sauteed pears in a pinwheel pattern on the crust, and pour remaining sauce from the pan over them. Sprinkle with toasted pecans. Serve with ice cream. Makes 8 servings.
