Asian Meatloaf image

This is not your same old boring meatloaf.

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 lb ground beef
1/4 c onion, finely chopped
1 (14 oz.) can(s) chop suey vegetables
2 c oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 c ketchup
1 Tbsp ground ginger
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp white pepper
1/2 tsp turmeric
dash cayenne
1 egg, beaten
1/4 c sweet and sour sauce

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Drain the chop suey vegetables. Chop them if the pieces are too large.
  • 3. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients except sweet and sour sauce. Mix well.
  • 4. Press mixture into a 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Cook for 1 hour or until done.
  • 5. Remove from oven and brush the top with the sweet and sour sauce to coat evenly.
  • 6. Return to oven and cook for 10 more minutes. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
