Steps:
- 1. Put butter, water, and lemon juice in pot on stove on warm
- 2. Core, Slice and peel apples and dip into cup of 1 part lemon juice, 3 parts water, then add apples to food processor, {For Apple Pie Filling Just add sliced apples straight to pot}
- 3. Add cinnamon, vanilla ,nutmeg, ginger, and brown sugar, and blend till applesauce consistency {for pie filling, just add all to pot and stir}
- 4. Add sugar, and pectin, and bring to rolling boil for 4 minutes, remove from heat
- 5. Ladle into prepared half pint jars, add lids and process for 15 minutes in water bath canner
- 6. Remove jars, let stand for 12 hours
