Apple Dessert image

This is a wonderful dessert for serving warm, topped with vanilla ice cream. I often make this recipe during apple season, when I usually have an abundance of apples on hand.

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 cups diced apples, peeled
2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup walnuts, chopped
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl, mix apples and sugar together.
  • Add rest of the dry ingredients and the nuts.
  • Add oil and applesauce; mix well and pour into a greased 9"x13" baking pan. Bake for 35-45 minutes.
