2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten
4 tablespoons shortening
3 cups grated apples
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups boiling water
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Steps:

  • Mix first 7 ingredients together to make the dough.
  • Roll out in an oblong strip.
  • Spread with apples.
  • Roll up and slice into rolls.
  • Make syrup by mixing 1-1/2 cup sugar, boiling water and cinnamon.
  • Put syrup in pan, lay dough slices over.
  • Bake at 350* for 45 minutes.
