- Preheat oven to 400°F. Remove 1 Tbsp. of the sugar; set aside for later use. Mix remaining sugar, the flour, cereal, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in large bowl until well blended; set aside. Remove 2 Tbsp. of the apple juice for later use. Beat remaining juice, the milk, egg and margarine with wire whisk until well blended. Add to dry ingredients; stir just until moistened. Gently stir in apples.
- Spoon evenly into 12 greased medium muffin cups.
- Bake 18 to 20 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean. Remove from pan; brush tops with the reserved juice. Sprinkle with the reserved sugar. Serve warm.
