- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large roasting pan with aluminum foil and place a trivet or small rack inside the pan. Set aside.
- 2. Remove ham from wrapping and pour off any excess liquid. Place on top of the trivet/rack in the pan. Pour ginger ale over the ham. (The ginger ale will infuse the ham with a wonderful flavor while baking). Sprinkle ham with ground cloves. Tent with more foil place in the oven. Allow 10 minutes per pound if your ham is fully cooked or 20 minutes per pound if ham is partially cooked.
- 3. In the last 10 to 15 minutes of cooking, remove ham from oven. Remove foil and brush all side with honey. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Place pineapple slices on top of the ham and sprinkle with additional ground cloves.
- 4. Return to oven and bake uncovered for 10 to 15 minutes or until pineapples are slightly browned. Remove from oven and let stand about 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
