Angel Food Cake image

This is a very easy and simply made cake! Great with strawberries and cool whip!!

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/4 c cake flour
1 3/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 c egg whites (at room tempature, very important)
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks, and then add cream of tartar,and vanilla extract. IF YOU LIKE YOU MAY USE 1/2 TSP VANILLA AND 1/2 TSP ALMOND EXTRACT.
  • 2. Sift together flour, sugar, and salt. Repeat five times. Gently combine the egg whites with the dry ingredients, and then pour into an ungreased 10 inch tube pan.
  • 3. Place cake pan in a cold oven. Turn the oven on; set it to 325 degrees F .Cook for about one hour, or until cake is golden brown. Invert cake, and allow it to cool in the pan. When thoroughly cooled, remove from pan
