AMARETTI MACAROONS image

Yield 40 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 5

8 oz almond Paste (i.e. Solo)
2 egg whites
1 cup sugar
1 tsp Amaretto
1/4 cup turbinado sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat ovwer to 325 2. Break almond paste into small pieces, put in food processor with sugar. Process till mixture is smooth. 3. Add egg whites and amaretto, mix well. 4. Drop by teaspoon fulls one inch apart, onto baking sheet. 5. Sprinkle with turbinado sugar. 6. Bake 18-20 minutes, till lightly browned. 7. Cool completely on baking sheets on wire racks. 8. Peel off parchment sheets when completely cool. 9. Store in airtight containers.
