Steps:
- Roast almonds on cookie sheet, 300 degrees, for 15 minutes. Cool Combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise; mix well. Add bacon, onion, dill and pepper; mix well. Cover and chill overnight Form cheese mixture into shapes of two pinecones on a base of foil or plastic wrap. Place on a bed of decorative lettuce or leafy cabbage on a serving platter. Beginning at narrow end, press almonds into cheese mixture forming rows. Continue overlapping rows of almonds until all cheese is covered. Each pinecone makes 1 1/2 cup. Garnish with artificial or fresh pine springs at the back of cone. Service with your favorite crackers.
