Almond Pecan Bars image

An easy to make, different pecan bar that is delicious and is great for the holidays.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cup(s) flour
1/2 cup(s) powdered sugar
1 cup(s) butter
FILLING
1 can(s) (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
1 - egg
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
1 package(s) (6 ounces) almond brickle bits
1 cup(s) chopped pecans

Steps:

  • CRUST: In large bowl, combine flour and powdered sugar. Cut in butter until crumbly. Press firmly on bottom of ungreased 13 X 9 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • FILLING: In large bowl, stir together sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla. Stir in almond brickle bits and nuts. Spread evenly over hot crust. Continue baking for 25 to 28 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool; refrigerate until firm, 2 to 3 hours. Cut into bars. Store, covered in refrigerator.
