ALMOND CARAMELS image

Number Of Ingredients 7

Sugar - 1 cup
Brown Sugar - 1/2 cup
Corn Syrup - 1/2 cup
Evaporated Milk - 1 1/2 cups
Butter - 4 tbsp
Vanilla - 1 tsp
Toasted Almonds, chopped - 1/2 cup

Steps:

  • In 2-qt saucepan, combine sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, milk, and butter. Cook and stir over medium heat until sugars dissolve. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, to firm ball stage (248 degrees). Remove from heat; stir in vanilla and almonds. Turn into buttered 9x5x3 loaf pan. Let cool. Cut into squares. Wrap individually.
