Addictive Shrimp and Celery Appetizer image

When I lived in San Jose, CA, I used to go to a great local fish and chips place. While waiting for my order, I usually treated myself to their only 'appetizer', a little foam container stuffed with chopped shrimp and celery, bound together with mayonnaise. So simple, but surprisingly addictive! I don't get back to San Jose very often now, so I decided to come up with my own version. Maybe it is just me, but I actually crave this sometimes!

1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
2 teaspoon(s) shallots or green onions, minced
1/2 cup(s) mayonnaise

  • Peel celery to get rid of stringy material. Chop finely. If shrimp is from a can, rinse well before using. Chop shrimp roughly.
