7-up Party Salad image

This is a staple at every holiday meal. It may sound funny but this light jello salad is delicious. Enjoy!

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 c 7-up
3 oz lime jello
1 1/2 c mini marshmallows
8 oz cream cheese
1-20 oz can(s) crushed pineapple (undrained)
3/4 c chopped walnuts
2 c cool whip
2/3 c mayonnaise

Steps:

  • 1. On the stove in a small saucepan melt together the first 3 ingredients until liquid (7-up, jello and marshmallows) blend in cream cheese and mix with a wire whip until smooth. Cool
  • 2. Blend in pineapple and walnuts. Refrigerate until semi-set, about 1 1/2 hours.
  • 3. Add cool whip and mayo to semi set gelatin mix. Stir until a fluffy lime green and all ingredients are well mixed in. Chill overnight. You can decorate with pineapple rings, cherries, nuts...or eat as is. Happy Holidays!
