7 Layer Taco Salad image

1 bag round tortilla chips
1 package taco seasoning
1 container (8 oz.) sour cream (can be low fat)
1 cup grated cheddar cheese (or other, suit to taste)
1 cup shredded lettuce (can buy head and slice or pre-sliced)
1 large tomato, sliced in small pieces
Salsa or guacamole (optional)

Steps:

  • Use large platter to accommodate the salad. Take the tortilla chips and make a base of chips on the platter.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the taco seasoning and the sour cream together so that it becomes a nice color. Mold the mix onto the taco shells in a sort of round shape.
  • Spread or sprinkle the cheese, lettuce, and tomato on top, and top with just a little more cheese. Spread some more chips around the sides. Add a little salsa or guacamole and serve.
