3 Amigos Salsa (Compliments of JJ, Howie & Geno) image

A pear? In salsa?! You bet your bippy! The hint of sweetness from the pear really makes this salsa special.

Number Of Ingredients 14

12 tomatilloes, fresh
1 green tomato, fresh
3 red vine ripe tomatoes, fresh
3 jalapenos, fresh
1 seranno pepper, fresh
1 medium red onion
1 small white onion
1 red pear, fresh
1 Tbsp minced garlic
1/4 c chopped cilantro, fresh
2 juice of lime, fresh
2 zest of lime, fresh
2 Tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
salt & pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Dice all vegetables or if desired, chop in a blender.
  • 2. Add the juice from the limes, lime zest, and mix thoroughly.
  • 3. Stir in the EVOO until thoroughly mixed.
  • 4. Add salt & pepper to taste.
