24 Hour Salad image

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 head lettuce
5 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
salt and pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 pound bacon, fried crisp
1 (10-ounce) package frozen peas
1/2 medium onion
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
1/2 pound Swiss cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Cover bottom of 9x13-inch dish with 1 inch chopped lettuce; then cover with egg slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and a little sugar. Break up fried bacon and spread over eggs. Next, spread frozen peas (not cooked) over bacon. Thinly slice onion over peas. Stir mayonnaise and spread over onions. Spread grated Swiss cheese over all. Cover and let stand in refrigerator 24 hours.
