24 Hour Salad image

I find it amazing with this dish, how the lettuce stays fresh and crisp underneath the topping.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 lettuce head
3 green onions; chopped
1 can(s) waterchestnuts; sliced
1 red bell pepper; chopped
3 celery stalks; chopped
1 box peas, frozen 10 oz
1 c mayonnaise
1 c sour cream
1/2 c parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1 c fresh fried bacon (crumbled) or bacon bits

Steps:

  • 1. Layer chopped lettuce, green onions, waterchestnuts, bell pepper, peas, and celery in a glass 13x9 baking dish.
  • 2. Cream together mayonnaise and sour cream. Add parmesan cheese, salt, and garlic powder and mix thoughly. Spread this mix evenly on top of the salad layers.
  • 3. Finish topping your salad with crumbled crip cooked bacon (crumbled), or bacon bits.
