This pumpkin sangria is perfect for the fall and holiday season! A homemade pumpkin pie syrup gives the drink excellent flavor along with bubbles and apple cider and of course, boozy fruit. It's a favorite for Halloween or Thanksgiving!

2 apples (thinly sliced)
2 pears (thinly sliced)
1 cinnamon stick
1 bottle pinot grigio
1 bottle dry prosecco
1 bottle sparkling apple cider
1 1/2 cups club soda
3/4 cup pumpkin pie syrup (recipe below)
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients in a large pitcher or bowl. Stir and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 cinnamon sticks (3 inches)
10 whole allspice
10 whole cloves
3 cups water
1 can (15 ounces) pumpkin
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 bottle (750 milliliters) sweet white wine
1 cup apple brandy or plain brandy
1 large apple, thinly sliced
1 large pear, thinly sliced

Steps:

  • Place cinnamon, allspice and cloves on a double thickness of cheesecloth; bring up corners of cloth and tie with string to form a bag., Place water, pumpkin, lemon juice and spice bag in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat; cover and steep for 5 minutes. Transfer to a pitcher; stir in wine, brandy and fruit. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours. Discard spice bag. Stir just before serving.
