9 cups Rice Chex
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup margarine or 1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 (3 ounce) package strawberry gelatin

Steps:

  • Measure cereal into large bowl; set aside.
  • Microwave chocolate chips and margarine in small microwavable bowl uncovered on High 1 minute; stir.
  • Microwave 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth.
  • Stir in vanilla.
  • Pour over cereal in bowl, stirring until evenly coated.
  • Mix powdered sugar and gelatin in large plastic food-storage bag; add cereal mixture.
  • Seal bag; shake until well coated.
  • Spread on waxed paper to cool.
  • Store in airtight container.

2 cups each Rice Chex, Corn Chex and Wheat Chex
2 cups miniature pretzels
2 cups pecan halves
2 cups salted cashews
3/4 cup butter, cubed
3/4 cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the cereal, pretzels and nuts. In a small saucepan, combine butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, about 2 minutes. Pour over cereal mixture; toss to coat. , Spread into 2 greased 15x10x1-in. baking pans. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes. Stir; bake 6 minutes longer. Transfer to waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Cool completely. Store in airtight containers.

6 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 teaspoons salt-free original seasoning blend
2 cups ranch-flavored rice crackers
3 cups popped popcorn

Steps:

  • In large microwavable bowl, place cereal.
  • In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High 30 to 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasoning blend. Pour over cereal; stir until evenly coated. Stir in crackers and popcorn.
  • Microwave uncovered on High 3 to 4 minutes, thoroughly stirring every minute or just until cereal begins to lightly brown. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.
