2 boxes instant banana cream pudding (3.4 ounces each)
Milk, as indicated in pudding box recipe
2 sleeves round butter crackers
4 large bananas, sliced
1 container whipped topping (8 ounces)

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare the pudding as directed on the box, using the amount of milk indicated. 2. Cover the bottom of a 9-by-13-inch dish with crackers. Cover the cracker layer with sliced bananas, then cover the banana layer with prepared pudding. 3. Repeat layers with remaining crackers, bananas and pudding. 4. Spread whipped topping over the top and chill dessert at least 2 hours or until ready to serve.

Pudding on the Ritz image

This is an oldie I've had for years. Someone gave to me along the line years ago. It is very good and gets inhaled quickly.

crust:
2 cups crushed ritz crackers
1/2 cup melted butter
3 tablespoons sugar
mix together well and pat firmly into a 9x13 pan and refrigerate while preparing filling.
filling:
2 small boxes french vanilla instant pudding mix
2 cups cold milk

Steps:

  • 1. Mix filling ingredients in bowl. (pudding mixture will be thick). Mix in: 1 quart of softened ice cream (vanilla, butter pecan), or any other flavor. Use electric mixer on low speed to mix in. Pour over crust.
  • 2. Chill for awhile and top with 8 oz. tub of cool whip. Cover the top with toffee bits or desired crushed candy bars.
  • 3. Refrigerate until serving time.

This recipe is very easy to make. I came up with the recipe by experimenting. It only takes three steps to make.

32 Ritz crackers (1 sleeve)
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup margarine, melted
2 quarts vanilla ice cream
1 (6 ounce) box vanilla pudding mix
1 1/2 cups milk
1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip

Steps:

  • Crush crackers into crumbs.
  • Pour melted margarine into crumbs add sugar, and mix until moistened, save some for top of pudding just for garnish.
  • Press into bottom of 9x13-inch pan.
  • Mix pudding ingredients together with a mixer.
  • Pour over crust.
  • Top with Cool Whip and remaining crumbs.
  • Refrigerate until firm.
  • Serve.
