Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pound ground beef or turkey
1 medium onion, diced
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 can (16 ounces) chili beans, undrained
1 can (4 ounces) diced green chilies, undrained
1 can (15-1/2 ounces) hominy, rinsed and drained
1 can (16 ounces) whole kernel corn, drained
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon cornstarch, optional
1/4 cup water, optional

Steps:

  • In a skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the tomatoes, beans, chilies, hominy and corn; season with salt and pepper. , For a thicker stew, combine cornstarch and water, then stir into stew. Cook and stir until thickened.

A hearty beef and vegetable stew with a little spice that is quick to prepare. You can cook the whole thing in one hour, or let it simmer in the slow cooker all day.

1 pound ground beef
1 (20 ounce) can white or yellow hominy, rinsed and drained
2 (14.5 ounce) cans stewed tomatoes
1 (15.25 ounce) can whole kernel corn
1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
2 (15 ounce) cans ranch-style beans
1 large yellow onion, chopped
2 green chile peppers, chopped

Steps:

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until evenly browned, stirring frequently to crumble. Drain grease, and transfer to a soup pot. Pour in the hominy, stewed tomatoes, corn, kidney beans, ranch-style beans, and add the onion and green chilies. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 1 hour.

1 onion chopped

1 can(s) hominy
1 can(s) whole kernal corn
1 can(s) stewed tomatoes
1 can(s) ranch style beans

  • 1. Brown hamberger and onions. Add canned ingredients Stir together and simmer for at least 20 minutes

1 chopped onion
1 (52 ounce) can ranch style beans
2 (4 ounce) cans diced green chilies
1 (15 ounce) can corn
1 (15 ounce) can hominy
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
salt
pepper

Steps:

  • Saute meat and onions until no longer pink and onions are translucent.
  • Add all other ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Ladle into bowls, serve with crackers or tortilla chips.
  • Can top with: cheddar cheese, sliced scallions, sour cream, etc.
  • Good on a cold wintry day!

1 (15-ounce) can hominy
1 (15-ounce) can ranch beans, with liquid
1 (4-ounce) can chopped green chili
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (29-ounce) can stewed tomatoes, with liquid
2 (1-ounce) packages brown gravy mix

Steps:

  • In a large stockpot, combine ground beef, corn, hominy, beans, chiles, and onion. In a blender, combine stewed tomatoes and gravy mixes. Pulse until coarsely chopped. Pour tomato mixture into stockpot. Cover and simmer over low heat 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
