Number Of Ingredients 6

2 cups self-rising flour
2 cups sugar
3 cans (20 ounces each) unsweetened pineapple chunks
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup butter, melted
70 butter-flavored crackers, crushed

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine flour and sugar. Drain pineapple, reserving 1-1/2 cups juice. Add juice to flour mixture and mix well. Stir in the pineapple and cheese. Pour into a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. , Cover and bake at 350° for 30 minutes. Uncover and stir; bake 10 minutes longer. Combine melted butter and cracker crumbs; sprinkle over pineapple mixture. Return to the oven for 10-15 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

This recipe originally came from my mom's baby sister, Aunt Clara. They both would be so proud that I have shared it with you. In my opinion, this dish compliments either ham or a pork roast very well. But it's good with any meal to me. LOL

6 Tbsp self-rising flour
3/4 c granulated sugar
16 oz can crushed pineapple, drained*
16 oz can pineapple chunks, drained*
1 sleeve ritz crackers, crumbled
1 stick butter or margarine, melted
2 c grated or shredded cheddar cheese
6-8 Tbsp pineapple juice*

Steps:

  • 1. *Drain pinapple but BE SURE TO SAVE 6 to 8 TBSP OF PINEAPPLE JUICE.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 350. Spray casserole or baking dish with Pam and set aside.
  • 3. In a bowl combine flour and sugar. Fold in pineapple, cheese and juice. Pour into prepared dish and sprinkle with crumbled ritz crackers. Pour melted butter somewhat evenly on top and bake at 350 for approximately 30 minutes.
  • 4. *You can use either 2 cans of crushed pineapple or 2 cans of pineapple chunks. I normally use 1 can of each.

This surprising dish is a fantastic accompaniment for ham. Pineapple chunks can be used instead of tidbits for a chunkier effect. (1 sleeve of Ritz is 35-40 crackers)

6 tablespoons flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1 sleeve Ritz cracker, crushed
1/2 cup butter, melted

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Combine the first four ingredients in a 9x9 dish.
  • Combine the melted butter and the crushed crackers.

This recipe is great as a side dish with ham or pork. It's also good to eat as a dessert.

1 large can pineapple chunks, drained
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 c sugar
3 Tbsp flour
1/2 stick butter or margarine melted
1/2 c ritz cracker crumbs

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat over to 350 degrees. Lightly grease 8" x 8" casserole or pan. (I use PAM)
  • 2. Mix pineapple, cheese, sugar and flour. Pour into 8 inch square casserole. Pour melted butter over pineapple mixture and stir.
  • 3. Top with Ritz cracker crumbs. Bake for 40 minutes at 350 degrees. This recipe may be doubled using a 9" x 13" pan/dish. Can be served hot or cold. Great at pot lucks!

  • Mix together pineapple, sugar, flour and grated cheese. Put into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover top with cracker crumbs. Drizzle with melted butter. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

1 can(s) (20 oz) chunk pineapple in juice (undrained)
1 can(s) (8 oz) crushed pineapple
1/3 cup(s) sugar (can substitute splenda)
3 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour
1 cup(s) (4 oz) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup(s) ritz cracker crumbs
2 tablespoon(s) butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 - lightly grease shallow baking dish
  • Drain pineapple, reserving 3 tablespoons of juice
  • Combine reserved (3 tbls) pineapple juice, sugar and flour
  • Stir in pineapple chunks, crushed pineapple and cheese
  • Spoon into shallow, lightly greased baking dish.
  • Combine cracker crumbs and butter, sprinkle evenly over pineapple mixture
  • Bake 350 degree oven for 25 minutes or until bubbly
  • To double recipe - for 2 quarts - 7 1/2 x 12 casserole
